Photos and AI diagnosis

Keep a visual record and use diagnosis as guidance to check, not a confirmed finding.

Last updated 3 November 2026

Add photos from a tree or an observation to keep a record of change over time. Use a clear view of the affected part and a wider view where context matters. Choose the correct tree before saving.

A tree’s cover photo helps you recognise it; the photo history keeps earlier records. Replacing a cover is different from deleting a historical observation, so read the available action before confirming it.

When requesting diagnosis

Describe the symptom, when you first noticed it and what has changed. AI can suggest likely explanations and useful checks, but a photograph alone cannot establish every cause or make a treatment safe.

Diagnosis allowances depend on your plan. If uploading or saving fails, keep your original photo and try again after checking the connection. Do not assume a failed upload has reached your garden record.
