Correcting garden records

Keep corrections tied to the fact or record they change.

Last updated 3 November 2026

If a tree’s species, stage or status is wrong, edit the tree. If a dated observation needs correction, use the record’s available edit or correction action. Explain the corrected fact plainly so the earlier misunderstanding is not repeated.

An observation is evidence of what was recorded at a time. A later correction should make the change understandable rather than quietly reusing the old record for a different tree or event.

Review the Almanac and House rules when a repeated planning mistake comes from reference advice or a standing instruction. Do not change a house rule just to hide a one-off observation.

If you cannot correct a problem from the app, send a problem report with the screen and the steps that led to it.
